Earthnut
FracTracker Alliance https://www.fractracker.org/map/ This site will display the following ~ International Maps and Articles National U S Maps and Articles State-by-State Maps and Articles Oklahoma has been getting more earthquakes lately, and we know it's from fracking. There wasn't an international map, just images and articles. Very disappointing.

Elders (Moderators) Libby Posted September 17, 2014 Elders (Moderators) Share Posted September 17, 2014 I used to think that surely there wasn't a problem with fracking? After all, the geologists know what they're doing, right? But now I'm not so sure. I hadn't factored in the money angle.

Walkabout
fracking also uses huge amounts of water ... one day fresh water will be the new gold standard. those who have will hoard it and those who want it will kill for it.
Earthnut
I thought pumping oil and fracking were two different things. Did some research and came up with this article from Science Time that discusses both ways of drilling. https://science.time.com/2013/07/12/deep-disposal-wells-from-oil-and-gas-drilling-linked-to-earthquakes/ Deep Disposal Wells from Oil and Gas Drilling Linked to Earthquakes A new study finds that the deep disposal wells used to store drilling wastewater—not fracking per se—may help trigger earthquakes. Regulators and the industry should take notice—and find ways to recycle that wastewater, instead of throwing it down a hole................. Walkabout
some of the fracking uses dangerous chemicals mixed into the water to push the oil up contaminating surrounding soil and ground water. On Native American reservations its Urainium mining will cause cancer and contaminate water supplies for mustangs, wildlife, and people. The US government is claiming Eminent Domain, but so far the tribes have kept the mining to a minimum. Only time will tell.
