Dear Friends,
In light of recent discussion I hope you will appreciate that the following is, at present, speculation and whilst BTFB is cited as a source in the original article this is somewhat erroneous. We did indeed break the news that Lance Henriksen has been approached by independent investors willing to fund a Millennium Movie but any additional rumours have been sourced independently. A journalist at Screenrant posted the following article which suggests that after some investigation they have heard rumblings to the effect that Fox is receptive to the idea of a Millennium movie but would prefer to proceed without the involvement of Chris Carter. This article, somewhat surprisingly, suggests Brett Hart has been mooted as the franchise's heir apparent. I spoke to Brett and he knows nothing about this beyond the fact that he is a major supporter of the show and a huge admirer of Chris' work. Neither of us are aware how the rumour (and it is just that until we know further) began.

It does seem to be gaining ground however as a second article has just gone online echoing the rumours.

We cannot add anything further to this save to say that we will keep you all informed if we hear anything legitimate. Until that time it simply makes for more speculative reading. At least our campaign continues to attract attention which I guess is the most important thing.

I should point out that the Screenrant article, quite unexpectedly, was echoed by DVDRama, a major French news outlet, today! I expect this to be echoed by the rest of the French media (possibly) in the following days. This might be a baseless rumour but this is the first time the French media talk about a potential MillenniuM comeback, and that is an important fact in and of itself.
