Locate TV - Gives you a heads-up on films and TV featuring your favourite actors

I recently discovered a great new website called Locate TV, which e-mails me whenever there is a Sarah-Jane Redmond or Lance Henriksen film on TV, as well as a new season of a particular show.
I'm hoping to catch a few shows that I have missed the first season of, such as Six Foot Under, Supernatural and Prison Break....

I haven't yet seen the latest episode, but I believe it featured my favourite bird, the Barn Owl. Take a look at this awesome shot:

Google went live last week with full UK Street View coverage, unveiling a comprehensive map of the UK with Street View's full 360 degree photo coverage, which includes much of the UK.

There certainly does appear to be very comprehensive coverage. Whereas the service was only previously available in a few major UK cities and towns, coverage...

Pixlr Editor - Online, free photo editor

Someone posted a link to Pixlr Editor, an online, free photo editor on another forum I frequent, and I was so impressed that I had to share it with you.

It has all the basic functionality of a certain 'photoshop', and it's very quick being a web based editor. Best of all it's free, and that's the beauty of the Internet.

If you are a fan of the amazing apocalyptic gaming series Half-Life, you'll know all about the amazing Half-Life 2 and may have played it and its 2 standalone episodes to death wondering why there has never been feature film outing. If so, you cannot afford to miss this short 5 minute movie called Escape from City 17...

Lance Henriksen Magic

I've been planning how I'm going to modernise LanceHenriksen.info too. I took over that website with the best of intentions (getting it back online) but its a constant battle to find time to keep it up to date with Lance's developments. Originally it was going to be a team effort but that's never happened for various reasons....

PC Nerd

Ever wondered what I view TIWWA on? No I didn't expect you did!

However for those into PC's, here's my current PC's spec for the geeky nerds amongst you, hand crafted by yours truly of course:

  • Intel Core2 Quad 6600 2.4Ghz CPU (overclocked to 3GHz)
  • Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Motherboard
  • Nvidia GTX260 896MB Graphics Card
  • 2 x 500Gb HDD's in a RAID0 array
  • 1x80Gb HDD for backups
  • 3Gb Geil PC6400 RAM
  • Enermax Liberty 620w PSU
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
  • 22" Samsung 2253LW Wide-screen LCD
  • 5.1 Speakers (Creative)

There's nothing like building your own PC. I first got into it after being ripped off by a local computer shop and so I figured I'd lift the lid and find out what's inside. Its a lot of fun to switch on a new PC for the first time knowing you brought it to life! Yeah, okay! Posted Image

Rock, Blues and Jazz...

Posted ImageMusic wise, I don't get much chance to love and enjoy music as I once did in my younger teens and early 20's, back when it was very important to me.

I still love Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Hornsby and the Range, Robbie Robertson, Don Henley, Yello, Chris Rea, Bon Jovi, Jan Hammer, Jackson Browne and Sheryl Crow. I love the amazing guitar, lyrics and vocals of George Thorogood and the Destroyers and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's brilliant Blue on Black.

I also love listening to smooth jazz, blues and relaxing classical music, although I'm no expert. One great band that I have a lot of respect for is Lifehouse, check 'em out.

Gadgets and Tech

I love gadgets and technology. Here's some I love the most and play with regularly:

  • Panasonic TH-42PZ85B - 42" Widescreen 1080p Full HD Plasma TV
  • Sky HD+ (upgraded the HDD to 1TB!)
  • Dell 9100 17" Widescreen Laptop
  • TomTom One Sat Nav
  • Canon A630 - 8 Megapixel Camera
  • X-Box 360 (my son's)
  • Sony PSP (ok, my son's too!)
  • Samsung G600 phone

If you love Gadgets and Tech, don't miss out the The Gadget Show, every Monday on Channel 5 and online.
