David Nutter (born 1960) is an Emmy Award winning director. He directed episodes of the TV series Superboy, The X Files, Dark Angel, Millennium, 21 Jump Street, Smallville, The West Wing, ER, Nip/Tuck, Tarzan, Supernatural, Roswell, Entourage and The Sopranos. David directed and won an Emmy for one episode (part 4) in the award winning mini-series Band of Brothers. He's is well known for directing pilot episodes for new television series.

In 2007 he was nominated for DGA Award (Directors Guild of America, USA) for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series' - Night for The Sopranos episode "Join the Club". In 2006 he was also nominated for an Emmy for the same episode.
